Dear Friends,
The 2006-2007 school year marks Notre Dame Middle School’s largest enrollment to date: 103 students!
As you may know, NDMS fills a vital need in these girls' lives. Our goal is to provide a high-quality education so that our students can succeed in high school and in college. Additionally, we provide after-school activities to ensure that students have time to complete their homework and experience a wide array of athletic, fine art and community service activities. Once our students graduate, we continue to support them in their academic and social achievement in high school. This well-rounded program is designed to develop strong leaders who will further the professional and civic landscape of our neighborhood and city for many years to come.
As we finish the third and final phase of our Reaching for the Future Campaign, we will solidify NDMS' commitment to the neighborhood by creating a campus to meet student and community needs now and in the future. Construction has been taking place throughout the summer and we hope to have the new building ready for the 2007 spring semester. This exciting venture will help us strengthen our relationship with our neighbors by creating a space for recreational and educational activities for our students and their families.
Thank you for playing a pivotal role in our success. With your help, the future is within our grasp. As always, I encourage you to stop down and take a look around at our progress. We would love to host you and your family for a tour.
May God Bless you,
Alvaro Garcia-Velez
