During the weekly assembly in the chapel of St. Ann at NDMS, students and staff prayed in solidarity with the victims of the Haitian earthquake.  Using a world globe as our visual guide, nine candles were used in procession to represent the nine million people who live in Haiti.  The students also brought up the basket of signed covenants stating our promises to live out the values of respect, responsibility and regalo (gift in Spanish), along with our candle with three wicks representing the same three values that guide us on a daily basis at school.
