Schools that Can Milwaukee, a national nonprofit dedicated to developing high-performing schools in urban locales, has accepted Notre Dame Middle School as a member school. This is a tremendous honor for Notre Dame, as we work together and expand our resources to develop the next leaders in our community.

As part of the After School Enrichment Program, NDMS President Mary McIntosh took her Career Development class  to visit Milwaukee law firm Quarles & Brady, LLP this week to learn about all the different jobs it takes to run a firm.

Last weekend, students and thier fathers gathered in the gym for a Hawaiiian-themed dance party. Check out the video below.

NDMS is pleased to announce the following Graduates attending PIUX XI  High School have received acadmic honors this semester:

Sharon Romero, NDMS 8th grader, took 2nd place at the District 9 Spelling Bee on Wednesday, February 16.

NDMS 5th graders learn about nutrition, budgeting and social issues as they shop for healthy food and donate to a local food pantry. 

BIG thanks to the volunteers from St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish for their delicious, home-cooked spaghetti dinner.  This has been an annual event that helps kick off our school year and includes students, families and staff from NDMS. Click here to see video.

Sr. Jean Ellman, SSND was recently honored by the Civic Music Association as the 2010 Outstanding Educational Administrator of the Year. This annual award honors educational administrators who have shown outstanding support for music education and teachers of music. 

Along with the help of local restaurant El Cabrito, students from NDMS helped raise money for those affected by the earthquake in Haiti.  

The students come together to pray for the victims and survivors in Haiti during our weekly assembly.
